How our programme can count towards your DofE

If you want to use your guiding activities and achievements towards your DofE awards, here’s what you can try.

There’s loads of areas for crossover between the Girlguiding and DofE programmes

We’ve highlighted below all the ways you can use what you are doing in Guides or Rangers  as part of the different sections of your DofE Award.

Remember – you still need to do each section for the right timescale depending on the level you’re completing, for on average an hour a week. So the programme suggestions below would only count as part of your sections.

For example – if you did a skills builder activity for an hour one week at Guides or Rangers that matched with your chosen skills or physical activities, that could count for that weeks’ time spent on your DofE section. You’d still need to practise it every week for the rest of the time spent on that section and build on what you’d tried.

Remember to check out the programme suggestions for each section on the DofE website.
