Are you ready for a red-carpet inspired afternoon of celebration? Girlguiding Celebrates is an event that honours some of our amazing members who've received a guiding award.
We’ve also invited those of you who’ve been nominated by other Girlguiding members and parents for the amazing things you've done.
This is the second time we’ve held this event. We’ve been listening to your feedback from last year to make this event even bigger and better than before! We’ll be having a big party with lots of treats, light refreshments and entertainment – think of a glamorous variety show with a Girlguiding twist!
Event details
When: Sunday 29 September 2024.
Where: ODEON Luxe Leicester Square.
What’s happening: An unforgettable afternoon, including walking down the red carpet like a true VIP, a drinks reception and a special performance.
Who’s invited?
Volunteers who’ve received the following awards between January 2021 and December 2023 were invited to attend:
- Queen’s Guide award
- Silver Fish award
- Laurel award
- Guiding star award
Awardees will be sent invitations by the end of April. We kindly ask that you RSVP by 10 June 2024.
People who’ve been nominated for a ticket to attend Girlguiding Celebrates will get their invitations at the beginning of July. This is to allow time for our nominations process to run in the meantime.
If anyone can’t make it, we’ll reallocate spaces to other members so if you’ve got a ticket but can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as you can.
Nominate someone to attend
We want to recognise unsung guiding heroes. Maybe it's your best friend who volunteers weekly at Brownies, your aunt who runs the most adventurous Rangers group, or your neighbour who helps at your local Rainbow unit. Whoever it is that makes a difference to girls’ lives, we want to hear about them!
You can now nominate your guiding peers for the opportunity to attend Girlguiding Celebrates 2024 by sharing who they are and the amazing things they’ve done in Girlguiding.

Want to shout out your unsung guiding hero? Nominate them to attend Girlguiding Celebrates 2024. Nominations will close on 10 June 2024 after Volunteers' Week.
You’ll be invited to this year’s Girlguiding Celebrates if:
- You received a guiding award between January 2019 and December 2022 and didn't go last year.
- You were nominated by a guiding peer last year and didn’t go last year.
You’ll still need to RSVP and confirm your attendance for this year’s event by the deadline.
If anyone can’t make it, we’ll reallocate spaces to other members so if you’ve got a ticket but can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as you can.
We're working closely with volunteers from across all countries and regions to help us to create the best event possible. We're always looking for members to tell us what they’d like to see at Girlguiding Celebrates this year. If you have something you want to suggest, please email [email protected].uk.
If you want to go the extra mile to mark this special day, we're looking for Queen's Guides who have previously attended any of our celebration events to help out at this year's Girlguiding Celebrates!
