Get ready for an exciting event that celebrates some of our amazing members who've received an award or have been nominated to come along.
Are you ready for a red-carpet inspired afternoon of celebration? Girlguiding Celebrates is an event that honours some of our amazing members who've received a guiding award.
We’ve also invited those of you who’ve been nominated by other Girlguiding members and parents for the amazing things you've done.
This is the second time we’ve held this event. We’ve been listening to your feedback from last year to make this event even bigger and better than before! We’ll be having a big party with lots of treats, light refreshments and entertainment – think of a glamorous variety show with a Girlguiding twist! Expect to see some special guests join in the fun too, including our ambassador, Anna McNuff.
Event details
When: Sunday 29 September 2024.
Where: ODEON Luxe Leicester Square.
What’s happening: An unforgettable afternoon, including walking down the red carpet like a true VIP, a drinks reception and a special performance.
What you need to know
- Whether you’ve achieved an award or been nominated to attend, you will have now been sent an invitation if you’re attending Girlguiding Celebrates.
- The deadline to RSVP is 18 August 2024.
- Official tickets will be sent at the beginning of September providing you’ve RSVP’d in time.
- If you can’t make it, please let us know by emailing events@girlguiding.org.uk. We’ll reallocate your space to other another member.
Who’s invited?
Volunteers who’ve received the following awards between January 2021 and December 2023 were invited to attend:
- Queen’s Guide award.
- Silver Fish award.
- Laurel award.
- Guiding star award.
As well as those who were nominated to attend by other Girlguiding members in their area as a special thanks for the amazing work they do.
What to do next if you're attending
- Make sure you RSVP by 19 August 2024 via this survey monkey form.
- Keep your address in GO up to date so we send your ticket to the right place.
- We’ll send you more information in the run-up to Girlguiding Celebrates so check your email inbox for updates.
You’ll be invited to this year’s Girlguiding Celebrates if:
- You received a guiding award between January 2021 and December 2023 and didn't go last year.
- You were nominated by a guiding peer last year and didn’t go last year.
- You’ll still need to RSVP by 19 August 2024 to confirm you’re coming.
If you can’t make it, we’ll reallocate spaces to another member so if you’ve got a ticket but can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as you can.
We're working closely with volunteers from across all countries and regions to help us to create the best event possible. We're always looking for members to tell us what they’d like to see at Girlguiding Celebrates this year. If you have something you want to suggest, please email [email protected].uk.
If you want to go the extra mile to mark this special day, we're looking for Queen's Guides who have attended any of our celebration events to help out at this year's Girlguiding Celebrates!
