This weekend, over 42,000 girls, leaders and their friends and family sat down for a magical cinematic experience
As part of Belle’s Big Film Trip, units across the UK came together for an exclusive ODEON screening of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. What followed was a true Girlguiding takeover, complete with dressing up, extra-special trailers and even a chance to meet Belle herself!
An early start
As always, our super-dedicated volunteers were up and at ‘em – balancing their excitement with lots of important pre-trip admin (and the urge to go back to bed!)

A warm welcome
At their local ODEON, girls and Leaders were greeted with smiles, goodie bags – and some of them even got a hug from the famous inventor herself.

Guiding on the big screen
It wouldn’t have been a proper Girlguiding takeover without a message from us. When our members took to their seats, they got to see our #forthegirl film up on the silver screen – before many girls across the country made their Promises together!

The main event
Our members loved every minute. Even when the Beast took to the screen, Dionne, Unit Leader with 18th City of Edinburgh Brownies, said ‘another Brownie was there to lend her friends a hand during the scary parts.'
What a day!
The sight of cinemas across the UK chock-full with our members was a sight to behold. A huge thank you to our partners ODEON for hosting such a thrilling experience for our members. We hope you had an amazing day (and thanks to 17th North East Manchester Rainbows our lovely main image!).
