How do I download packs for free?

Unit meeting activities and skills builder packs are available to download from our online shop now. 

Here’s how you can get them:  

• Click on the activity pack you want. 
• Add it to your basket as normal.
• Once your order has gone through, you'll be able to access the free PDF download of the pack. You don’t need to add a paid item to your basket to check out. You’ll be able to complete the transaction with a £0 total in your basket.

We plan to make all unit meeting activities and skills builders available to download in the future too.  

After listening to your feedback about how we can make the programme more supportive for volunteers, we know it’s important to have the option to download unit meeting activities and skills builders. We hope this will help you run activities for a lower cost and make them more accessible to everyone across Girlguiding. 

Can I still get physical packs for free? 

We still have free physical copies available for a limited time. No further physical copies of these packs will be available after we run out of current stock.  

Why have you made these programme resources free?

You told us you want the Girlguiding programme to cost less. And we want everyone - both girls and volunteers - to feel like they can be a part of Girlguiding, no matter the cost.  

 This doesn’t mean we’ll be getting rid of the programme or introducing a new one. But we’re identifying how we can continue to make the current programme the best it can be for everyone. We’re excited to be able to make this change and help more people feel included in what we do. 

We know that some programme resources mean a lot to people. Girls have told us that they like to keep physical copies to record in. Our badge books and section handbooks are a great example, so they'll remain available to purchase. 

Will new unit meeting activities and skills builders be free in the future?

Yes, we plan to make all future unit meeting activities and skills builders free downloads in the future.  

First there will be a limited stock of physical copies available to purchase from the online shop. After a short period of time they will then be free to download.
