Girlguiding statement in reaction to the Online Safety Bill being passed

Angela Salt, Girlguiding CEO said: “Our latest and 15^th Girls' Attitudes Survey reveals almost all girls have experienced some form of threatening or upsetting behaviour online (81% of girls aged 11-21) . After six years of campaigning for girls' safety online, we are glad to finally see this important bill soon become law. We will continue to work with key decision makers to ensure protections for children and women are enforced and we hope to see the technology industry take more responsibility so that everyone, particularly girls and young women, feel safe online."
