Thank you volunteers!

Volunteer’s week runs from 1 – 7 June every year. This year, it coincided with Thank You Day on Sunday 5 June.

Thank You Day was created last year by the Together coalition, which we’re a part of. It’s a way of celebrating and recognising the everyday heroes who make our communities a great place to live.

What we've been up to

To mark these two special occasions, we’ve been celebrating all throughout the week on our social channels. Our volunteers really do make guiding happen, so we asked girls to help us say the biggest thanks.

On Sunday, we also released a very special Thank You Day montage video which you can watch below.

Thank you volunteers!

With the help of some camera-ready parents, it’s been amazing to see so much support from girls across the UK for everything our volunteers do. We know how much our volunteers give so that girls can grow their confidence and have adventures.

The video also featured a special message from our CEO Angela Salt, who expressed just a few of the many reasons our staff and members are grateful for all that volunteers do.

We'd also like to thank all the girls and parents who sent in a video message or card to say thanks. We're sorry that we couldn't feature all of them, but we've absolutely loved looking through them and hearing why you'd like to thank your fantastic leaders.  

It’s been a busy week for all our members, as we’ve also been coming together to celebrate our patron the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
