How much: £58.50. You can also choose to stay on Friday night for an extra £15, which includes Friday night dinner, camping and Saturday breakfast.

This is our first time at Sparkle and Ice. The girls are loving it!  It seems really well organised and the activities are brilliant. The instructors are amazing – very patient with the girls. If you’re thinking about booking next year, do it – but be prepared for cold weather! – Shirley and Linda, Isle of Wight

What’s happening?

At Sparkle and Ice, Guides, Rangers – and their leaders –  will be immersed in our very own winter wonderland.

Girls can become adventurers with a programme of fun activities, including rock climbing, abseiling and tunnelling – and can also try out the new barrel train at Blackland Farm and Foxlease, or the winter dodgems at Waddow Hall!

Alongside these activities, girls will learn vital survival skills to help them take on extreme weather conditions. They’ll also have a chance to:

  • Get crafty with winter-themed make-and-dos
  • Pit themselves against our assault course
  • Keep their balance on our crate stacking challenge

Keen campers can arrive on Friday night to get ahead of the crowds, while others can join us for a 9am start on Saturday morning.

This event doesn't require a Going Away With licence – so you can focus on spending time with your girls and getting stuck into the activities.

Event ticket includes:

  • Campsite fee - optional tent hire for an additional fee
  • Food from Saturday lunch to Sunday lunch
  • Hot drinks
  • Onsite activities and challenges

Optional Friday night ticket includes dinner, camping fees and breakfast.

Worried about pitching your tents in the cold or dark? Don't let that stop you joining in the fun! For an extra £5 per person you can hire a tent - and we'll put it up and take it down for you.

Can I volunteer at Sparkle and Ice?

Of course! Without volunteers we wouldn't be able to make this fantastic event happen. No experience is necessary - just enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, and it's free to volunteer too!

You can find out more about volunteering at the 2020 event in our volunteer information pack. To apply just download the application form and send in back to [email protected] by 6 February 2020.

Lead volunteer

To help us make this event even better, we’re looking for a dedicated Lead Volunteer to work with our staff team to help drive the event forward and support and manage our incredible group of volunteers in the run-up and throughout the weekend. We need someone who is enthusiastic about events and has the experience to support the event to move forward.

You can apply for this role as an individual or a pair, it’s completely up to you. If you would like to apply as a pair please make that clear on your application.

If you would like to apply, just download the information and application pack and send it back to [email protected] by 30 November 2019.
