Latest news

We’ve been following the ongoing situation with coronavirus (Covid-19) and how that impacts on our events this year. Unfortunately, due to recent UK Government and Girlguiding guidance, we have made the sad decision to cancel Magic and Mayhem 2020.

What happens now?

If you would like to move your booking directly to Magic and Mayhem 2021 (12-13 June 2021), that is absolutely fine and we can do that for you.

If this date isn’t suitable for your unit, we’ll refund all monies paid, including any deposit as per our terms and conditions.

In light of the situation we understand that you may not be able to commit to the same girls going next year so we’ll hold your booking as it stands until 1 December 2020 so that you can confirm numbers for 2021. Should you reduce your numbers before 1 December 2020, you’ll be entitled for a full refund for those spaces. After this date you won’t be entitled to a refund as per our terms and conditions.

Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.

We want to book for 2021. Can we?

What’s happening?

Magic and Mayhem is our biggest national event for girls between 5 and 10, and aims to give them all the fun of a festival in a safe and inclusive environment.

As soon as they arrive, girls will get to explore different ‘zones’ - set around a real-life Big Top - each with its own themed activities. These may include:

  • Circus – see professionals demonstrate some mind-boggling circus skills, before getting to try them out.
  • Magic and making – get messy making juggling balls and ribbon sticks, and learning magic tricks!
  • Fun – what it says on the tin - huge inflatables and lots more games!
  • Dance and music – Zumba, Bollywood dancing, drumming and singing will be on offer so girls can let their inner star shine.
  • Physical – including tunnelling, low ropes and bungee trampolining.

Outside of the zones, there will be lots of other activities to get stuck into - including a sleuthing treasure hunt! On Saturday night in the Big Top, everyone will put on their dancing shoes for a disco, before girls who are staying over bed down for some late night story-telling.

You don’t need a Going Away With Licence to bring your girls to Magic and Mayhem – so you can spend more time with them, and less time on logistics.
