New fun badges to help plan your autumn and winter term

With the new term fast approaching, here’s an exclusive look at some of the brand new fun badges coming to the Girlguiding shop soon.

Girls are going to love them! There’s something for everyone - and let’s not forget the 72 new interest badges too. There’s plenty to keep you busy.

What are fun badges?

Fun badges are separate from our programme-related badges and can be purchased on the Girlguiding shop website. They don’t need to be earned but can be used to celebrate girls’ achievements through activities they’ve taken part in.

You don't need to be a leader to buy them. They can be bought by anyone - volunteers, parents and badge-lovers everywhere. You can buy them for girls, as a gift for a friend, or why not treat yourself? Just watch your badge collection grow!

Here's what's coming in the next few months:

From August

• I’ve been litter picking – litter picking creates pride in the community and can help boost physical and mental wellbeing. It's a great one to choose for girls working towards their Eco award! By the way, World Cleanup Day is on 20 September. Find out more on the World Cleanup Day website.

• Remembrance 2025 – our special woven and metal pin badges in partnership with the Royal British Legion. Girlguiding members can check out the August issue of Girlguiding magazine to find out more about the story and evolution of our Remembrance badges.

From September

• International Day of the Girl – our 2025 badge looks a bit different this year and we know you’ll love it! There are new activities too, to help you get involved.

• World Thinking Day 2026 centenary – there’s plenty of sparkle for this special commemorative badge. • Lunar New Year – this popular badge has had a makeover, and there are brand new designs for all our celebration badges coming in 2026!
