Making friends next door  

The best part of Girlguiding is the friendships. Your daughter will meet girls from nearby schools and streets.

They’ll play games, share stories, and learn together. Because they live close by, they often become friends for life. And it’ll feel great for her to walk down the street and see a friendly face she knows from her weekly meetings! 

Making a difference in the local community

We believe in being kind and helping out. Our girls take pride in their community. You might see our groups: 

• Cleaning up: going on litter picks to keep parks green.
• Spreading joy: leaving ’acts of kindness’ notes or handmade gifts for neighbours.
• Helping out: supporting local food banks or visiting local care homes.

It shows girls that they have the power to make a big difference, even at a young age.

Exploring the great outdoors

We love to get outside and explore! We help girls get to know their local area through supervised adventures. We keep things exciting with activities like:

• Scavenger hunts.
• Nature trails.
• Geocaching.
• Camping.

These activities build her confidence and help her feel at home in her community.

It’s great for parents too!

We know that life as a parent is busy. Joining Girlguiding is a lovely way for you to meet other families in your area. While the girls are busy adventuring, you’ll find a supportive circle of parents who live nearby. It’s a great way to feel more connected to your neighbourhood.

You could even lend a hand volunteering if you fancy!
