Book a Peer Educator
Bring peer education into your unit
Why book a peer educator?
Peer educators are role models girls can relate to. They help girls to learn about things which directly affect their lives.
This ground-breaking scheme equips members aged 14-25 with the skills they need to deliver fun, interactive sessions to their peers in Brownies, Guides and Rangers.
I'm really glad we invited a peer educator in and think it should be a regular event. - leader
Before the session, chat with the peer educator to discuss your unit, what will happen and how much you'll get involved.
What does a peer education session look like?
- The peer educator will come prepared to run the whole meeting, taking some of the pressure off you – although you will still be responsible for supporting the session.
- The peer educator will draw on their own life experiences to enable open and honest discussions.
- The session will be packed with fun activities, so your girls will have a great time as well as learn something from their peers.
- Depending on the topic, you'll have some activities to continue exploring the subject with your unit to after the session.

The fastest way is to directly contact your county peer educator coordinator on GO. You can do this by clicking contact peer educator coordinator in the 'my roles' area of your GO profile.
If you can't do this, or you don't hear back on GO, fill in this online form to help us find you a peer educator to deliver a session. We'll pass this information on to your country/region peer educator coordinator who will see if there's a peer educator available in your local area and get in touch with you.
