Frequently asked questions

How do I book?

Tickets will be on sale in November – we’ll let you know as soon as they’re available! All the information you need will be on this page in due course.

Who can go?

This exclusive screening is for all Girlguiding members. The film is not currently rated but it will likely be PG or U, so permission from each girl’s parent or carer may be needed for them to attend.

How do I find out which ODEON branches are participating?

We will have a list of participating ODEON branches listed here on this page for you to check shortly.

Will there be a badge?

We know that you love to celebrate special events with a badge! More details will be coming soon about a special badge to celebrate this event with ODEON. Keep an eye on Girlguiding's shop and social media to be the first to find out more.

Will the screenings be accessible?

Most ODEON cinemas are accessible for all guests and staff. Together we are keen to ensure we provide accessible screenings wherever possible, including autism friendly screenings, wheelchair spaces and screenings with audio descriptions and captions. To help us see where there is need for these screenings, please email our partnerships team with details of your accessibility needs, and we will work with ODEON to accommodate you wherever possible.

Is it safe to go to the cinema? What Covid-19 restrictions are in place?

ODEON are fully complying with the government Covid-19 regulations for each nation to ensure all guests and staff are safe. Take a look at their safer cinema policy to learn more. We know that these requirements might change in the coming months, so advise checking the requirements before the event.

Will there be social distancing?

ODEON will support Girlguiding members to follow guidance from Girlguiding UK and will facilitate social distancing if required. ODEON are fully complying with the relevant government requirements for each nation. You can find details on these restrictions in ODEON's Safer cinema policy and on our website.

We recognise that these requirements might change in the coming months so advise checking back before the event.

Do I or members of my unit need to wear masks when visiting the cinema?

Our own Covid-19 guidance asks that face coverings are worn by adults, Rangers and Guides unless they are exempt. You will need to wear a mask during guiding activities when needed or when appropriate, for example when you can’t keep a safe distance or are in an enclosed space with no fresh air. This is a requirement for members in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and a recommendation for members in England

What if we go back into lockdown?

If restrictions change, we will work together with ODEON to update you with necessary information.
