From hosting a meeting at work, planning a big celebration, or getting together with friends or family, events skills are useful in so many areas of life.

Volunteer at a Girlguiding festival

Age: 18+

Facilities, maintenance, activities and first aid - Girlguiding festivals can only happen with volunteers in these vital roles. Can you help the festival magic happen? Perhaps you can give Rainbows and Brownies the adventure of a lifetime at Magic and Mayhem, or get Guides and Rangers to test their winter camping skills at Sparkle and Ice.

Volunteer at Wellies and Wristbands

I’ve been to the event (Wellies and Wristbands) before when I was a Guide so I knew how  much fun it was. I  needed something to complete the residential aspect of my Duke of Edinburgh Gold,  and the timing of this was perfect. The best thing was watching the girls have fun, and then  be able to join in some of the activities in my downtime. - Charlotte

Other events at our Activity Centres

Age: 18+

Our Activity Centres run a wide variety of events throughout the year and are often looking for volunteers to help out. Get wet at a Brownie water adventure day or help girls grow their science skills. To volunteer, visit the Girlguiding Activity Centres website to find out what events are happening and then contact the Activity Centre you are interested in volunteering with.

Running a large scale event with Girlguiding

Age: 18+

Large scale events with 100 or more participants are great for celebrating a special occassion or to offer activities that aren’t possible with smaller numbers. For volunteers, taking part in large-scale events can be immensely rewarding. It’s an opportunity to develop skills, work as a team and get to know others in guiding.
