Discovering our diversity
What do you believe?
Explore faith, culture and religion through debates, games, crafts and more!
Girlguiding is for all girls and encouraging our young members to learn more about their beliefs and those of their peers is an important part of our Educational Framework.
Our Interfaith Week activity pack is full of ways you can explore faith and belief in your unit. Interfaith Week takes place every November - but you can do these activities at any time of the year!
This pack includes activities for all sections, including:
- Faith Walk - go on an expedition to explore local places of worship.
- Same Difference - a light-hearted activity that will allow your unit to identify a few traits that make each girl unique!
- Skills Away - get girls to plan a project where they can share their skills - from first aid to motor mechanics - with the wider community.
Our pack also explains how to adapt existing programme, to give girls an opportunity to learn more about faith, culture and religion.
Subjects like faith and belief can encourage lively debate. Make sure everyone gets a say and manage any challenges from girls by following the guidance set out in our Guiding Conversation on behaviour.
