Get girls thinking and sharing
Encourage girls to share their ideas to get a better understanding of their interests and aspirations.
- Divide the girls into small groups and give each group a piece of paper with a theme at the top, such as winter, space, when I grow up…, I like to…, food or adventure.
- Ask the groups to talk about their themes. They should write down any ideas, including activities they might like to do.
- If the groups run out of things to write, they could swap papers with each other to try another theme.
Rainbows may need more guidance with this activity, so plan for an adult to sit with each group.
Decision-making can sometimes result in disagreements. Learn more about managing challenges from girls with our Guiding Conversation on behaviour.
