Make a tasty and fun 'snail' snack
Create an edible snail, complete with cute antennae.
- Trim the crusts off a bread slice, and then spread it with your chosen filling so that it covers one side of the slice completely.
- Carefully roll up the slice until you have a log shape (like a Swiss roll) and then cut it into pieces about 2–3cm thick.
- Pull the end of the slice out to make the head and add some small pieces of carrot or liquorice to make the antennae, or just use the crusts. To serve, arrange your snails on a bed of lettuce leaves.
From flames to knives, there are lots of hazards in the kitchen. Make sure you supervise girls closely to ensure there are no accidents.
Remember to check the dietary requirements of the girls ahead of time.
