New Zealand has lots of sand - see how the Maori people turn into it cool cards!
Overview
The Maori were the first settlers in New Zealand and while most now live in cities, they keep their traditions alive. As New Zealand is an island nation with plenty of sand, this has been an important element in Maori art.
- Fold the piece of card in half.
- On the front, draw a design.
- Fill the pattern with glue and then pour over the sand.
- Leave to dry and then pour off the excess sand.
