What will you do?
Get your girls ready for #iwillWeek - which runs from 12 to 16 November
Overview
#iwill is a UK-wide campaign helping more young people make a difference in their local communities through taking social action.
As part of #iwill, Girlguiding has pledged to support more of our members to get involved in social action, through our programme, advocacy opportunities and unit activities.
For #iwillWeek, we want you to talk to your girls about social action and let them know we’re part of this fantastic national campaign for young people. You could discuss with them all the ways they already support their local community - or even try out some activites that are about helping others.
- For Rainbows – Be kind and helpful: build a big tower of groceries – and then donate them to your local shelter or soup kitchen.
- For Brownies – What can I give?: get girls thinking about what gifts they have to give to others with this craft exercise.
- For Guides - Helping hands hunt: send girls on an inspirational treasure hunt.
- For The Senior Section – Changing for the better: create a ‘wall of change’ for girls to share their ideas of how to make the world a better place.
Want to take it the extra mile? #iwill have provided resources so you can run your own #iwill celebration! See the #iwill website for more details.
