What will you be?
A tiger? A flower? A superhero? Let your imagination run wild as you use face paints to draw patterns and shapes on your skin.
Face painting is the use of face paint, makeup, cosmetics or similar products to decorate girls' faces.
Guidance for these activities has been produced to help prevent allergic or irritant reactions resulting from the use of these products.
If offering this activity to non-members at an event, ensure an adult has given permission for the child to be face painted. This consent does not have to be written.
- Use a recognised brand of face paint to minimise any allergic reactions.
- Make sure your face paints are presented on a clean towel and that you have a good supply of water for washing brushes and sponges between faces.
- Always make sure your materials and face paint containers are cleaned at the end of every session. Store your materials in a dry clean state with lids on all containers.
- Sponges and brushes should be rinsed well in hot water and left to dry before putting away.
