Global Opportunities Pool

How to get involved in UN or WAGGGS international conferences on issues that women and girls face

Did you know you can represent Girlguiding at an international level?

If you want to have your voice heard on issues that matter to you, put your name forward for the Global Opportunities Pool.

The Global Opportunities Pool gathers together exciting WAGGGS opportunities for members aged 18 to 30. Members are given the chance to represent guiding at a range of conferences and seminars all over the world, on issues ranging from the global direction of guiding, leadership, development and social action right through to the environment and women's rights.

As opportunities arise, members who have expressed a specific interest and have the necessary experience will be invited to apply.

Representing WAGGGS at the UN's Commission on the Status of Women was a life-changing experience. It opened my eyes to the power I have as a young woman to create positive change in the world - it helped me to find my voice - Pippa
