We're looking for a new climbing outdoor specialist adviser to help volunteers take young members to new heights.

This is a chance to support volunteers to get more girls and young women climbing.

About this role

As part of this role, you will:

  • Inspire members to go outdoors and take on adventurous activities safely.
  • Advise on relevant qualifications and work with our specialist technical adviser to make sure our qualifications are compliant with NGB guidance and best practice.
  • Help plan and deliver training opportunities.
  • Work with the rest of the national outdoor team at Girlguiding to make sure all information gets to countries and regions.

We're looking for volunteers who want to make adventurous activities inclusive and accessible, have good communication skills and technical climbing knowledge and qualifications.

Time commitment

This role will last for at least one year but could be renewed for a further two years. Weekly hours will vary depending on events, meetings schedules and your own availability but will average one to two hours per week.
