We need a specialist volunteer for our youth awards

Like the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Queen's Guide award and Commonwealth award. Deadline midday, Wednesday 7 September

Do you want to help young members get great quality opportunities to do awards and qualifications?

This role will help ensure they're an integral part of Girlguiding's offer for girls and young women.  

About this role

As part of this role, you will:

  • be a positive champion for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Queen’s Guide award, Commonwealth award and permits
  • support the adventure team, giving insight and advice about our youth awards, and helping them make decisions
  • be the volunteer point of contact to advise people how to help young members do awards
  • help evaluate, test and consult members about our awards.

Why should you apply?

You'll help make decisions about what the awards will look like in the future, using your skills to advise the adventure team. 

Who can apply?

We're looking for someone who understands how our youth awards fit into the wider programme, knows what awards and qualifications are currently are on offer for young members and someone ready to build relationships with other volunteers and staff. Ideally, you'll also know about our programme and other opportunities available to young members, have experience coordinating events, opportunities or resources for young members and have done some of the awards yourself.

Time commitment

The role will be for three years, with the possibility of another two years.
