What’s happening?

The Juliette Low Seminar is WAGGGS’ flagship leadership development event for young women. WAGGGS have been providing this this inter-cultural, inspirational and international experience since 1932. The Juliette Low Seminar aims to build worldwide friendships and help young women out of their comfort zone, as well as empowering the next generation of leaders.

In 2022, WAGGGS aim to empower up to 500 young women around the world through the Juliette Low seminar, with the leadership practices, global perspectives and a peer support network to take the lead in their lives and act on their values to bring positive social change to their world.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be given the tools to practice your leadership and develop the mindset you need to succeed.

You’ll be placed in a virtual patrol with other young women across the world, so you’ll experience new cultures and gain awareness and understanding of how guiding works on a global level and make life-long friends.

At the end of the seminar, you’ll also undertake your own 100 Girls project, where you’ll empower 100 girls aged 12-18 in your local guiding area to raise their voices and practice leadership. You patrol mentor will support you with your project during the seminar through to the completion of your project.

How much time will I need to give?

The Juliette Low Seminar will be launched on International Day of the Girl, 11 October 2022. There will then be an online learning programme for you to take at your own pace from the launch until November 2022.

The Juliette Low Seminar event dates are the 2-11 December 2022. There will be online sessions over the weekends, and flexible learning experiences throughout the week.

You'll also make a commitment to run your 100 Girls project after the seminar throughout 2023.

There's also the possibility to attend a face to face event during one of the weekends of the seminar, the dates are still to be confirmed.
