Passionate about learning? Join us as a specialist volunteer
We're looking for a new learning and development volunteer to specialise in supporting county commissioners. Closes 20 February 2019.
Give volunteers opportunities to grow
We’re looking for someone to work with us on delivering improved learning and development for our members. You’ll work with our staff and volunteer teams to make sure it’s an integral part of what we offer at Girlguiding.
As a learning and development specialist volunteer, you'll focus on supporting learning and development for county commissioners, helping them feel more confident in their roles. This will include overseeing the national county commissioner induction and third year training weekends.
How much time will I need to give?
This role is for one year with possible extension of a further two. You’ll ideally attend at least one of our county commissioner training weekends and our two annual volunteer learning and development meetings. You’ll also speak to our volunteer Learning and development team regularly on fortnightly phone calls.
I’ve met new people, taken on new challenges, learnt more about Girlguiding whilst contributing and developing my own skills. I’m re-energised and motivated to continue making a difference to volunteers, which will make a difference to our girls. - Sarah, Learning and development specialist volunteer
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about the training and development of county commissioners and who has experience of training and coordinating volunteers.
You'll be a Girlguiding volunteer and over 18. We welcome applications from those who do not hold the Girlguiding Trainer qualification.
How can I apply?
To apply, return a completed application form to [email protected] by 20 February 2019.
Do something unforgettable
There's always a way that you can get more involved with Girlguiding. We have events and opportunities for all ages across the UK and around the world.
