Join the International Service Team for the European Jamboree in 2021

Apply now to be a part of the team at the European Jamboree in Gdańsk, Poland. 2-13 August 2021. Deadline 30 June 2020.

As the European Jamboree was postponed from August 2020 to 2021, we're re-opening applications for a small number of places on the International Service Team.

A new inspiring  adventure awaits you in the summer of 2021. After the last event in 2005, The European Jamboree returns to gather young people from all over Europe in Gdańsk, Poland to celebrate Guide and Scout values, strengthen our international community and provide young people in Europe with the opportunity to meet and learn from each other.

And if you're a member aged over 18, you can get involved - as a part of our International Service Team (IST).

The theme for 2021 is ACT. Every Scout and Guide possesses potential to become a driver of social change. They are all invited to come to the Jamboree and discover their power!

Scouts and Guides will inter-ACT with others of various cultures, of various languages and various countries. They will learn through adventures, eye-opening discussions, and inspiring workshops. They will discover their power and find out where their helping hands are needed. Scouts and Guides will have a chance to ACT using their new skills and make a change in the society.

What is the IST?

The IST work with the Jamboree Planning Team to deliver the event. You'll help with a range of jobs, and take part in the IST Experience programme. This programme is built around three pillars: Service, Free Time Activities (rest, personal development, fun) and Adventure.

The IST is open to guiding members over the age of 18. You'll need to be in Gdańsk from 31 July to 14 August 2021.

There's a reduced cost to attend as a member of the IST - £600 per person, this includes contingent kit.
