We’re looking for a trainer qualification coordinator to work with our branch associations
Support overseas branches to be their best
We’re looking for an experienced volunteer to work with tutors who support trainers based in our nine overseas branch associations. You’ll support them to deliver excellent training to volunteers on the ground, from Anguilla to the Turks and Caicos Islands. And make sure our volunteers are better able to give girls a safe and adventurous environment to thrive in.
- You'll support people who are taking their Trainer qualification, as well as the tutors and reviewers helping them through the course.
- You’ll provide support to, and may have a chance to visit, guiding units in nine UK Overseas Territories: Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, St Helena and dependencies and Turks and Caicos Islands.
This is a unique opportunity to work in an international and multicultural environment. You might even have the chance to visit some of the UK Overseas Territories and experience guiding there.
How much time do I need to give?
You’ll need to give approximately seven hours a week. There are also two full day meetings in London that you'll need to attend, one in summer and one in winter, as well as local meetings.
Who can apply
As well as being a qualified Girlguiding trainer and tutor, you may also be a reviewer but if not, you much be prepared to train to become a reviewer. You’ll be enthusiastic about engaging with different cultures and working in different ways.
