We're looking for a specialist volunteer for growth of volunteers under 30.

In this exciting role, you'll help us spotlight volunteers in the 18-30 age group. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience working with a range of staff members and volunteers, learn more about strategic planning, and take decisions and actions informed by data.

What's the role?

You’ll be working alongside the lead volunteer for retention and growth, and the specialist volunteer for recruitment.

You’ll report to the lead volunteer for retention and growth and keep them updated on plans, progress, risks and issues.

Some of what you'll do:

  • Work collaboratively with lead volunteer and other specialist volunteers in the team to encourage more girls to join Girlguiding and continue their Girlguiding journeys.
  • Give your perspective as a volunteer to projects involving volunteers aged 18 – 30.
  • Support the delivery of the flexible volunteering project, focusing on volunteers aged 18 - 30.
  • Work with staff and volunteers to make sure there is a clear pathway for young leaders and young external volunteers to move into adult volunteer roles.
  • Work with staff teams to make sure our strategy to grow numbers of volunteers in the 18 – 30 age group is considered.
  • Facilitate the country and region Inspire coordinator meetings. Support the team to identify and overcome any challenges to growth within the 18 – 30 age group.
  • Attend growth network meetings.

How long does the role last?

The role is for 15 months initially, with the possibility to extend if needed.
