Tell us about recording progress in your unit
We need your help to make an excellent recording tool for our new programme
The programme of activities and badges for girls in Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and The Senior Section is changing and will be revealed in summer 2018.
This is really exciting. And we've started thinking about how we can develop online tools for unit leaders to plan activities and keep records of what they’ve been doing with their girls as they go.
We also want to create a digital tool specifically for girls aged 14 to 18 years old. That way they can track their guiding achievements and experiences too.
We want to make sure that whatever we develop is truly helpful and easy to use - so we need your input. We'll be looking for people to get involved all throughout 2018. But here are some of the things coming up first:
- Online surveys. We've just opened a survey for members of The Senior Section and one for leaders. We want to find out more about our members, what you expect from online tools and identify key trends we need to think about.
- One-to-one interviews. We'll talk to volunteers and girls in The Senior Section either be by phone or via Skype. They'll take place between 23 and 30 January 2018.
- Co-creation workshops. We'll be running two workshops - one for leaders, and one for girls. They'll be fun, creative and collaborative sessions. We'll be looking for 15 participants for each session taking place at the end of February 2018. Date and location are to be decided.
- User testing. After the workshops, we'll build 'test-webpages' and will need people to take part in one-on-one testing at the end of March.
If you'd like to get involved in these activities and help develop our recording tools, complete the survey that suits your role in guiding.
If you're a member of The Senior Section and a unit leader, then you can complete both surveys.
Both these surveys will close on 31 January 2018.
