Events Affected by coronavirus (Covid-19)
We’ve got lots of amazing events planned for you for 2020, but some of what we had planned has been affected by Covid-19
As we carefully check the advice from the UK government, we've had to make the unfortunate decision to cancel or postpone some of our events.
Here you can see the current status of each event.
As the situation continues to shift and change around us, the plans for each event could change as well. Check back on this page as we will be keeping it updated.
If you’re looking for fun activities you can do to keep yourself busy during this time, check out Adventures at home.

October
3 October - Queen’s Guide awards presentation
We have been keeping up to date with advice from the UK government. Due to the ongoing impact of coronavirus and social distancing guidelines, sadly we have taken the decision to cancel all Queen’s Guide celebrations in 2020.
We are currently exploring ways in which we can hold celebrations in 2021 that both ensures everyone’s safety and allows us all to come together to recognise the hard work that you put into achieving your Queen’s Guide Award. All 2020 attendees will be given priority booking for 2021 celebrations.
3 October - Little Giggle in Oxford
Unfortunately Little Giggle is cancelled for 2020.
October - Big Gig
The next Big Gig will take place in 2021.
November
7 November - Little Giggle in Sheffield
Unfortunately Little Giggle is cancelled for 2020.
14 November - Thanks and recognition
In light of the ongoing Covid-19 risks, Girlguiding UK and The Scouts have decided not to run a Thanks and Recognition event in 2020. This decision was taken in order to prioritise the safety of our members.
We know this news will be a disappointment for some. We hope to be able to run a Thanks and Recognition event in 2021 and beyond to celebrate adult volunteers in guiding and scouting. Thank you for your understanding.
