UEFA Women's EURO 2022

Football is for everyone

We know from our Girls' Attitudes Survey that girls want more visibility of women’s sport.

In our research, we found that two thirds of young women aged 17-21 thought that having less women’s sport on TV than men’s sends a message that sport is mostly for boys and men. Four in five girls think that greater visibility of women’s sport will inspire more girls to be active.

That’s why we’re so pleased to be working together with UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.

How we're working together

Working together, our goal is to help more girls and young women enjoy football and feel confident that it’s a sport for them. Through our partnership, girls of all ages can participate in free football-themed activities, collect a commemorative badge, and explore all areas of the beautiful game.

We also gave Girlguiding members, including their families, access to affordable tickets to UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 group-stage matches ahead of general sale.

With guiding girls have fun, adventure and the space to discover their potential.  And through partnering with UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 we will work to break down the barriers preventing girls and young women from participating in football, whether by watching games or playing them.
