Beth, 15, tells us all about the food, fancy dress and performances at Wellies in her festival diary.

On our way to Girlguiding’s Glastonbury

'On Friday I travelled down to Waddow Hall for Wellies and Wristbands. The festival is like a mini Glastonbury for Guides and The Senior Section. Units arrived from all across the country. They started arriving by ten and had to have their tents pitched and be ready for dinner. I had Swedish style meatballs, it was delicious. There were five performers and the headline act was Channy. I really enjoyed my first evening.

Superhero Saturday

On the Saturday we could enjoy loads of different activities. There was a pamper zone, activities from crate stacking to kayaking, hot tubs, a craft tent and inflatables. We got henna tattoos and then me and my friends did climbing. After climbing we got ready for the concert. Performers like Bronnie, The Verse and The Hara performed. Saturday night's theme was superheroes, I went as wonder woman wearing a red top and denim shorts but it was too cold so I had to put on a jumper but I still had a fab time. I managed too meet Bronnie and she was nice.

How to survive the rain? Glitter!

Due to the heavy rain I chose not to do an activity but there was still lots to do, I got my face painted and I got a glitter tattoo. There were yet again some great performers on Sunday night such as Robyn Regan, Adam Jay, New Kings Order and the headline act was Roadtrip. I managed to meet Robyn and she was lovely.

Shout out to the volunteers!

Altogether it was a wonderful event and the catering was amazing. I would like to give a big shout out to all the wonderful volunteers as they made the weekend safe and fun!'
