Support for the Australian bushfire crisis

There's a special badge coming soon to help Girl Guides Australia during this emergency

We’ve been shocked and saddened to see news of the devastating bushfires across Australia.

Guiding members across Australia have been getting involved in their local communities and doing what they can to help – providing shelter to those who’ve been evacuated, packing supplies for those in need and crafting wraps and blankets for injured animals. They’ve even found homes for rescued koalas in their Douglas Scrub property in South Australia.

We know many of our members would like to help their guiding family in Australia, so here’s how you can support Girl Guides Australia and their emergency relief work.

What we can do

Buy the Girl Guides Australia Bushfire Crisis badge – coming soon

Show your support for those affected by the fires with this special badge designed and made by Girl Guides Australia.

Limited numbers of this badge will be available soon through our Girlguiding shop – we’re expecting them to arrive in February and we’ll let you know as soon as they’re in stock on our Girlguiding for members facebook page.

And every penny from the sale of this badge will go to the Girl Guides Australia Emergency Relief Fund. This fund was set up by Girl Guides Australia to support their members in communities affected by the fires and to fund programmes to help areas rebuild.

Share your message with the Wall of Support
