The Role

Girlguiding is looking for a Governance Manager to work closely with the Chair of Trustees and CEO to ensure that the Girlguiding Board of Trustees is supported to direct Girlguiding to standards of governance excellence.

Girlguiding is one of the largest voluntary youth organisations in the UK and more than half of the female population has been involved in guiding at some point in their lives.

Reporting to our Deputy Chief Executive, you will ensure Girlguiding adheres to the highest standards of governance practice, act as the governance secretary and manage the flow of governance work, agendas, papers and meetings.

We are looking for a hands on senior specialist, preferably with experience in a federated charity environment, with ICSA or legal training.

If you are highly skilled in building strong, positive and productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, have exceptional organisational and planning ability, can convey complex information clearly and succinctly and handle confidential and sensitive matters with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality, we would very much like to hear from you.
