We’re working with ODEON to give girls magical memories at the cinema. Volunteers can organise an unforgettable trip with their unit to one of the ODEON cinemas across the UK participating in our exclusive Girlguiding screenings.
Here's what you can do to prepare if you're a volunteer who wants to take girls to our exclusive screenings of Inside Out 2 in June.
What’s the film about?
We’re returning to the mind of Riley and her emotions for a remarkable adventure. As Riley turns 13 and ‘headquarters’ is undergoing a sudden reconstruction, her mind makes room for some brand-new emotions.
This is going to be a fun experience for girls to have a special day out, celebrate friendship and think about just how powerful their minds can be.

Here’s what you can do as a volunteer to prepare
Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 21 May at 12pm via our volunteer newsletter, Girlguiding news. Book your tickets now.
Here are some more things you can do to prepare if you’d like to take your unit to a screening.
Save the date
Pop the screenings dates in your diary. Now is a good time to check in with your volunteer team to see who’s available to join. Remember to consider the adult and child ratios.
Check your numbers
Get an idea of how many girls would like to attend by contacting parents and carers to share the date and ask for their permission. You’ll be able to see the film’s run-time closer to the time.
Think about your risk assessments, consent forms and setting up a home contact system
To prepare for your trip to the cinema, you’ll need to:
- Read our risk assessment guidance and complete a risk assessment.
- Fill out consent forms for young members and make sure everyone’s contact details are updated.
- Set up a home contact system in case there’s an emergency.
Browse our resource library to find all the unit forms you need in one place.
Don’t worry, you’ll have lots of time to fill in the forms you need as the screenings are taking place 22 and 23 June.
