Theres many different ways that you can complete the four elements of this clause, which aims for you to take an active role in guiding at a range of levels and sections.
- If you are looking for an event or a large camp to volunteer at you might find one on the International pages.
- If you would like to attend Innovate as part of this clause, find out all the latest information by visiting the Innovate section.
- You might want to volunteer to work in one of the Training and Activity Centres for a period of time. Take a look at the Training and Activity Centres site to find out what is on offer.
- To find out about the international service opportunities visit the International site or you might want to attend an INTOPS weekend or go on a GOLD project trip.
- Association working groups that are looking for new members may advertise on the news page
- Have you thought about volunteering to work at a guide shop or a depot? You can find out details of your local depot by calling 0800 83 82 27.
- There might also be opportunities to be part of the British Youth Council delegation.
- You might want to organise a PR event for your County, or get involved with Recruitment week in your local area.
- There will also be opportunities to do your service closer to home, such as being a Leader, Young Leader or Unit Helper with a local unit or at District level, helping several units. What about becoming an Adviser at Division, County, Country or Region level? This will be at the discretion of the appropriate Commissioner, but you can get in touch and let them know what you can offer. The current post holder may be glad to share some of the workload.
