The Olave Baden-Powell Bursary Fund was set up in 1979 from voluntary contributions in memory of the late World Chief Guide, Olave Baden-Powell.  The purpose of the fund is to create a continuous living memorial to the World Chief Guide by helping girls further their hobbies and interests to help make a dream come true.

Bursaries are awarded annually. Guides, Rangers and Young Leaders between the ages of ten and 18 years old are invited each year through an article in the January edition of guiding magazine to complete an application form and read the information sheet.  Patrol/Senior Section group applications are welcomed and the Patrol Leader/nominated group leader should apply on behalf of the patrol/group.
