Young Leader Qualification   Young Leader Qualification
The Young Leader Qualification is open to all Senior Section members aged 14 to 16.
Octant Certificates   Octant Certificates
To gain an Octant Certificate you need to complete Phases 1, 2 and 3 of an Octant in the Look Wider scheme. When you have completed your three Phases, speak to your Senior Section Guider or Adviser to arrange your certificate.
Chief Guide’s Challenge Certificate   Chief Guide’s Challenge Certificate
When you have completed Phases 1 and 2 of all Octants you will be entitled to receive the Chief Guide’s Challenge Certificate.
The Commonwealth Award   The Commonwealth Award
The Commonwealth Award is open to older Guides and Senior Section members in all Commonwealth countries. The badge gives you an opportunity to find out more about the history of Guiding and the Commonwealth.

To earn the Award you must complete challenges 1, 2 and 3 plus two of the optional challenges. This award can be completed individually or as a group.
The Queen's Guide Award   The Queen's Guide Award
The Queen’s Guide Award is the highest award for members of Girlguiding UK. The Award is open to any members aged 16 to 25 and must be completed within three years or before your 26th birthday, whichever is sooner.
Senior Section Permits   Senior Section Permits
There are two Residential permits for members of the Senior Section: the Overnight Permit and the Senior Section Permit.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award   The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
Girlguiding UK is an operating authority for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Any member aged 14 to 23 may enter the scheme. There are three awards: bronze, silver and gold.
