Camp and Holiday Scheme

This is a must to take more than eight Brownies, Guides or Senior Section members away for a camp or holiday. You need to be over 18 and hold a Membership card. You will need to contact your County Camp or Holiday Adviser to get started on this qualification.

Catering Scheme

The scheme is for members and non members aged 18 and over. It is useful for catering at camp or holidays and covers a wide range of issues from kitchen hygiene to menu planning. Ideal for those interested in a career in catering.

Health and First Aid Schemes

This qualification is for those who want to learn about maintaining hygiene and providing First Aid at a residential event. You need to be over 18. If you see your future in caring or health and safety then this is the course for you.

Leadership Qualification

This is Girlguiding UK’s qualification for those who want to become a Unit Leader. You need to be over 16 to start work on the qualification, although you can’t hold a warrant until you are 18. For more information speak to your Leader or Commissioner.

Adult Training Qualification

If you want to share your knowledge and skills with other Leaders, then this is the one for you. You need to be over 18 and hold a Membership card for at least one year. Apply direct to Commonwealth Headquarters for information, but also ask the person responsible for training in your County for information.

Walking Scheme

This scheme is for those aged 14 plus. Whether you want to walk to the park or climb Snowdon, there is a level for you. Please contact your County Walking Adviser.
