Meet the Innovate Dalguise Planning Team
Cathy
Team Dalguise

Chair

Cathy is the Chair of the Innovate Planning Team, meaning she looks after both Planning Teams with assistance from her able vice-chairs. She also sits on Girlguiding UK’s Executive Committee and Council as part of this role.

Originally hailing from Bristol, Cathy now lives in Reading - where she works as an Electrical Engineer in an energy company.

She’s a Guide Leader in Reading and enjoys working with the girls to find interesting topics for evening meetings and day adventures away! After all that there’s not much spare time – so to unwind she enjoys a good book in her garden, teaching her cats to climb trees or meeting up with friends for a good natter!

Vice ChairLucy

Lucy is an Innovate Vice Chair. Her overall role is to support the team and the chair and to liaise between the two. In addition Lucy helps any team member with their job role if help is needed. She is also an Assistant Guide Leader, a mentor and a Queen’s Guide.

Currently Lucy is doing a secondary PGCE in Lincoln specialising in religious education. When she’s not at university, she can be found back home with her family in Lincolnshire South.

Outside studying or guiding, Lucy likes to spend time with her Australian boyfriend. She enjoys taking her black Labrador for a walk, listening to music (especially Bon Jovi) and supporting her football teams.

MoiraAdministration

Moira grew up near Bath and has moved to Scotland to go to university where she is in her final year studying Chemistry at Heriot-Watt in Edinburgh.

Moira is a Brownie Leader and a part time Assistant Guide Leader.  She is working towards her Queen’s Guide and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

In her free time she enjoys anything active including climbing, walking, kayaking and camping.  So Scotland’s a good base even if she’s lacking transport.

AmandaEntertainments Coordinator

Amanda is from the Scottish Borders.  She is currently a Ranger, Assistant Guide Leader, County Centenary Champion and working towards her Queen’s Guide and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.  Amanda is the manager of a Childrens’ Soft Play centre, which she loves!  And in between enjoys walking, cycling, shopping and going out.

Amanda has a black and tan English Cocker Spaniel called Maddie.  Her favourite colour is blue and favourite animal would have to either be a duck or a highland cow.  If she had to describe herself in two words she would probably say hyper and ditzy!

NickyEntertainments Coordinator

Nicky hails from Staffordshire and, after five years doing a computing degree in Sheffield, has recently moved up to Glasgow to start work in IT at the Department for International Development (DfID).

She is a Warranted Assistant Guide Leader (currently unit-less), an In4mer and has recently gained her Queen's guide. She loves camping (in the dry) and teaching new skills to her guides.

In her free time she likes reading crime novels, watching TV/movies, surfing the web, being creative (on her Mac), playing with her two ratties and (if she can afford it) horse riding. She is also attempting to learn to speak Spanish and master to art of Poi (but not at the same time!).
