Girlguiding UKs Centenary is fast approaching. We'll all be celebrating from September 2009 for a year and you are part of it! There will be loads for Senior Section members to get involved in so start fundraising now!
Centenary Stampede A European Adventure for teams of Senior Section members, with adult supporters, organised by Midlands region. The fun will start in London with challenges in a number of European countries.
Tall ships voyage A ten-leg voyage around the UK from June to September 2010. Starting in Glasgow, going in a clockwise direction and visiting ports around the UK and Northern Ireland. The Tall Ships are fully accessible for all,to enable everyone to take part in this Ultimate Adventure.
Ultimate Adventures A massive selection of international trips. From sight-seeing to trekking, from conservation work to snow adventures, from community work to safaris these really are Ultimate Adventures.
City Tours A chance to soak up the atmosphere of London or Edinburgh including theatre trips, shopping and, in Scotland, a special evening with a Ceilidh.
Ultimate Adventure Weekends If climbing and kayaking are your thing or you fancy a new challenge these are the weekends for you. UK-based weekends in partnership with top outdoor adventure providers. For those who are already experienced and want to strech yourself further we even have an event at Glenmore Lodge with ice, snow and winter mountain activities.
Local opportunities Locally there are huge plans afoot for Adventures big and small. Keep your eyes peeled for information as it becomes available.
Service opportunities Of course we'll need your help too throughout the year! Five thousand UK Guides will be enjoying a summer camp and will be joined by two thousand Guides from around the world. Want to join the fun? Look out for service opportunities and get involved. There will also be service opportunities at the Young Women's World Forum event in October 2010.
