Gaby Logan
‘Girl Guides gave me the self-confidence and determination necessary to succeed in a traditionally male-dominated environment. Being exposed to such a variety of experiences, challenges and adventures in a safe female environment meant I didn’t have to compete against boys. Guiding equips girls and young women with the skills they need to be whatever they want to be.'

‘Looking back I think my Girl Guide experiences were an essential part of my development as a young adult. I learned how important it is to be part of a well-organised team and, when necessary, lead that team. I learned about valuing people's strengths and supporting their weaknesses, and that the effectiveness of a community depends upon these things. Most of all I learned about having fun and all of these experiences have enabled me to become a better person.’
