New VAT prices
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling, has announced
that the rate of VAT (Value Added Tax) is being increased from 15
per cent to 17.5 per cent effective from 1 January 2010.
In line with this announcement, prices on VATable products will
be increased on 1 January 2010 to reflect this increase. This
generally affects Senior Section and adult wear, gifts, badges,
flags, camping items and selected resources.
Please note, the prices quoted in the 2009/10 guiding
essentials catalogue are now out of date so to check what the
