Olave Baden-Powell Bursary Fund

The Olave Baden-Powell Fund will be replaced by the Centenary Fund in July 2009. More information on the new Fund will be available in July on the Centenary website and in the July / August issue of guiding magazine.

The history of the Olave Baden-Powell Fund
The late World Chief Guide Olave Baden-Powell was a believer in the transformative power of dreams and left money in her will to be used to give a girl a dream. This gift enabled Girlguiding UK to set up the Olave Baden-Powell Fund in 1979.

Thanks to Olave Baden-Powell's legacy and the donations of many, the last 20 years has seen this Fund help guiding members aged 10- to 18-years-old achieve an amazing array of dreams, from taking part in the very first all-female crew in the Tall Ships Race to helping out community projects in India.
