Think Big for your community!

Think Big imageWant to do something postive for your community? Why not Think Big and make it happen?

An initiative that offers the opportunity to apply for funding for community projects, Think Big aims to empower young people today.

Run in collaboration with the O2 and the National Youth Agency (NYA), they have awarded Girlguiding UK 25 grants of £300 for Senior Section members to put a project they have created into action.

There are six broad categories to choose from: learning, campaigning, expression, well-being, neighbourhood and planet. Your project idea could involve anything from cleaning up graffitti to running yoga sessions.

Projects can last anything from a day to a number of months, so why not consider setting up your own radio station, planting trees or creating an allotment? There isn’t a maximum number of participants for each project application, though all group members must be current Senior Section members.

All completed project applications should be sent to your Country/Region Head Office, who will forward the best three onto Think Big, who will consider the merits of the project. Successful applicants will receive training and full support from the Think Big team.
