Och aye Innovate!

Were you at Innovate Dalguise? If you didn't go, you really missed out! As always, the event was a huge success. Held in the East of Scotland, 120 Senior Section members came from all over the UK to participate in the fun-filled weekend.

Innovate is a chance for Senior Section members to have their say about guiding today!

The workshops at Innovate Dalguise included issues like Youth Participation, as well as gaining thoughts and views to be used in upcoming Girls shout out! reports. Everyone's opinion counts - all reports that come out of the workshops get sent straight to Commonwealth Headquarters.

Then after all that hard work, participants get the chance to learn a new skill or hobby. At Innovate Dalguise, participants took advantage of being at a PGL site and participated in activities such as Giants swing and Jacobs ladder. The girls also visited a distillery and learnt how to make local Scottish delicacies.

Anyone who has attended Innovate before will know how legendary Saturday nights are! The theme for Innovate Dalguise was Sparkle and there was an amazing buzz amongst all participants.

Some of this years participants described the event as 'Inspiring and empowering', 'Amazing', and 'A life-changing event that allowed me to consider my future and address new exciting opportunities'.

It may have rained all weekend however this would never dampen Senior Section spirits!
