Looking for exciting adventure this summer?

Two girls kayakingThe summer is fast approaching so now is the time to make plans as to how you are going to spend it. If you are aged 19 or under, you could spend your summer paintballing, kayaking, mountain boarding and much more by signing up for a Do It 4 Real camp.

The Do It 4 Real summer camps are run by the YHA (yes, the same guys who provide all those great youth hostels!). There are so many fantastic camps to go on, that there is something for everyone.

These camps are situated all over the England and Wales, from Patterdale in Cumbria right down to Kilve Court in Somerset.

Most of the camps are for participants aged under 16 but if you are aged between 17 and 19, take a look at the Team Leader Training Camp. This unique camp has been designed to give you an action-packed weekend that will allow you to develop your leadership skills. It also counts towards your Gold Duke of Edinburgh Residential.

I'm not sure if I can afford it?

The great news about Do It 4 Real camps are that subsidised places are available to young people living in England, thanks for funding from the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

If you're not sure if you can afford it then help might be on hand. If your parent/carers receive Child Tax Credit, Working Families Tax Credit or are on Income Support, you may be eligible for concessionary rates.

You can find out more about the Do It 4 Real summer camps by looking at the Do It 4 Real website.
