Become a Guiding Advocate!Are you a member of the Senior Section? Do you want to find out what matters to girls and young women in the UK? Would you like to let people in powerful positions know about what girls and young women think? How would you like to find out more about how Girlguiding UK can influence politics and carry out important research? Are you looking for ways to get involved to support awards you are working towards? (e.g. Queens Guide) Girlguiding UK is recruiting for its first team of Guiding Advocates to support our research, policy and public affairs work. You could get involved in a number of ways. Option 1 Join our Research Panel and help us to give girls and young women a voice on issues that matter to them. Option 2 Attend a party political conference in September 2009 to tell the most influential decision makers in the UK about Girlguiding and the issues that matter to todays young women in the UK. (You must be over 16 to take part in this option) Option 3 Train as a public affairs young spokesperson and youll be supported to use your new found skills to influence people in your local area who make key decisions.
