October 2008

This month has been pretty busy! Our Ranger unit has been taking part in a County recycling project. We have to design and make an outfit completely out of recycled things. We are making a dress out of plastic bags fused together, sequins out of plastic bottles, a belt out of ring pulls, jewellery out of sweet wrappers and a clutch bag out of drinks cans. It looks so cool! I just hope we win the competition.

On the 24th, I went to Innovate Dalguise. It was so much fun! I recommend it to everyone. It's a weekend where you get to voice your opinions about Guiding and Senior Section and people actually listen. Plus, you get to try lots of new things during the Saturday. I got a makeover! You could have done more physical things if you wanted but I was exhausted.

Next month is hopefully going to be a bit calmer. We have the final of our County fashion show in a few weeks. Wish us luck!
