Kirsten's blogMarch 2009At the start of this month, we had a party at Brownies for 5 of them to make their promises. It was my second Promise party as a young leader and it was really nice to help at. I was never a Brownie so I didnt to get all the things they do at meetings. Plus, all the leaders get the leftover cakes! Both my Brownie Unit and Ranger Unit are working towards Changing the World projects. The Rangers are doing Plan and holding a photography exhibition and the Brownies are not being bullies for Kidscape. I feel really lucky to be working through two of the projects and helping two very worthy charities. In non-guiding news, I had my Advanced Higher French speaking exam. A solid 20 minutes of non-stop French conversation with a complete stranger. It did seem to go ok, plus it got me out of a period of Maths. Next month, I have more D of E meetings and the possibility of a driving test! |
