I'm a member of SSAGO!
What does your role involve? My role as Chair of SAGUN is to have lots of fun! I also have to do things such as paper work and organise a stand at fresher fairs so everyone knows we exist and we can get more members. This year I have organised a fresher camp. I also have to ensure we do loads of fantastic activities. What do you love most about guiding? The friendships that you make. No matter where you go with guiding there are always new friends to be made, I now have many friends in lots of different countries who I would have never met if it wasn't for guiding. What guiding achievement are you most proud of?My Queen's Guide Award -
There was time throughout the
three year that I thought I
would never complete it! However
I did and I got so much out of
it, I did things I would never
have had the guts to go and do
otherwise and I loved them so
much that I'm still doing them
now! What would you say to someone who is thinking about becoming a Senior Section member and taking on your role?SSAGO is so much fun, its a
great group to get involved with
and if the university your going
to doesn't have one you can
still join SSAGO as an indie
(independent member) or even
better you can set up your own
group. |
